The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract and enroll all learners (including traditional high school, adult learners, career changers, returning students, and other non-traditional student populations) at the community college through visits to high schools, businesses, and organizations-personalized follow-up with prospective students and facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding.

Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)

- Develop ongoing relationships with all in-district counselors, instructors, and staff
- Establish relationships with local businesses, workforce development agencies, and community groups to promote educational opportunities
- Develop and execute recruitment plans targeting adult learners, working professionals wanting to upskill or reskill, veterans, and other non-traditional student groups.
- Attend career fairs, community events, and corporate gatherings to promote the college's programs and resources.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to prospective students regarding admissions processes, programs offered, placement testing, and financial aid and scholarship application submission.
- Contact potential students through appropriate means via a customer relations management (CRM) system that will support admissions and recruitment functions of multiple communications, such as direct mailing, phone calls, text messaging, and high school visits.
- Work closely with academic advising, financial aid, and student support services to ensure a seamless enrollment process.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, prospective student interactions, and enrollment data
- Arrange for group visits to campus
- Manage Student Ambassador Program, including interviewing, training, and supervising student ambassadors
- Assist with planning and hosting recruitment events on the LLC campus, including Career Day, Laker Visit Days, Adult and non-traditional events, and Principals, Deans, and Counselors Meetings.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in higher education, adult education, workforce training, and student retention strategies.
- Work with Lake Land College DOC staff to train Associate Deans on retaining records and the admissions process so that they can present at reentry summits. Attends summits when Associate Deans are unable to participate in the event.
- Work evenings and weekends to attend special events.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Specific Functional Job Requirements

Education: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in communication, business, marketing, psychology or closely related field. Customer Relations Management (CRM) system experience preferred.
Experience: Minimum: Related experience in a college setting required; community college experience preferred. Customer Relations Management (CRM) system experience preferred.
Knowledge: Recruitment of students; community colleges and higher education. Knowledge of relevant educational trends and industry requirements.
Skills: Marketing, customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication. Outstanding presentation skills required.
Personal: Ability to work effectively with the administration, faculty and staff of the college and high school schools; ability to work with business leaders; ability to relate to students and parents.
Physical: Possess a valid driver's license; travel throughout LLC district continuously; travel throughout state. Transport and set-up display equipment. Work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to visually and manually access computer screens and electronic student records in a software package used by the college; ability to manually input data; ability to lift and transport 50 lbs.
