How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Responsible for the overall project design and delivery of GIO services, the GIO Project Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring that GIO infrastructure impacts on projects and initiatives are identified and serves as the primary point of contact for GIO impact assessments and the coordination of GIO resources for IT infrastructure solutioning.
IT Infrastructure Impact Assessment The GIO Project Solution Architect is responsible for the overall IT infrastructure impact assessment process and supports Digital Delivery Services (DDS) Enterprise Architects and GIO Demand Managers in ensuring that the infrastructure impacts on projects and initiatives are identified early in the project life cycle. This process includes the following:
provide an initial assessment of GIO impacts for all demands and projects to facilitate effective demand triage and project assignment collaborating with DDS Architects to ensure a full understanding of the project requirements and potential IT infrastructure impacts ensuring GIO representation in project architecture reviews (preliminary, summary and follow up) communicating upcoming projects with GIO infrastructure impacts to GIO stakeholders collaborating with GIO teams for all project gate reviews and following up on GIO Gate deliverables (ensuring project documentation includes infrastructure components providing recommendations for Gate approval and attending all project gate review meetings - representing the infrastructure team
GIO Project Design and Delivery Following the initial GIO impact assessment, the GIO Project Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring that GIO infrastructure solutions proposed are in line with project requirements (timeline and scope) and communicates these impacts to key GIO stakeholders through the following activities:
ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and communicated to GIO teams for technical solutioning facilitating GIO technical solutioning sessions with GIO Service Line Directors, Service Managers and Demand Managers ensuring that GIO infrastructure solutions are documented (through an IT Infrastructure Solution Design document) with clear deliverables and timelines assessing GIO demand coordination and/or project management requirements and, working with the GIO Demand Manager, and PMO Lead, ensures an effective resourcing model for demands and projects supporting GIO and Customer projects that are in execution that have adjustments in their scope that may impact GIO by leading the assessment of the requirements and subsequent technical solutioning (including estimates, scheduling and documentation updates).
GIO Project Design and Delivery Governance Liaising with the GIO Demand Manager and GIO PMO Lead, the GIO Project Solution Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining a solid approach to providing timelines, deliverables and estimates to DDS Management and Project Managers. This process includes:
collaborating with IT PMO's to ensure alignment to existing project governance activities and deliverables reporting, supporting and following up on GIO multi-service line demands (in project Phase 1 or Phase 2) that are in a "heightened" (at risk for not meeting commitments), or "escalated" (not meeting commitments) to GIO Americas PMO.
GIO Global Architecture Alignment Liaising with the Global GIO Architecture team, the GIO Project Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring that the Global Architecture team is kept informed of all projects in the Americas that have GIO infrastructure impacts. This process includes:
providing regular updates of upcoming projects (focusing on GIO requirements) to the Global Architecture team participating in global architecture evolution meetings maintaining a strong understanding of future trends in the IT field and being actively involved in the global architecture community maintaining strong relationships with GIO Americas Solution Architects and providing recommendations based on current trends and future global architecture evolution plans being a conduit of information on business requirements and trends to the global architecture team development and maintenance of the GIO Americas Architecture roadmap that is in line with the Global Architecture roadmap

General Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant area (or equivalent experience) 5 - 7 years experience in IT (i.e. Solution Architect, Enterprise Architecture, Network Architecture, Cloud Architecture etc.) Fluency in English and in French. Experience in a multicultural environment is an asset.
Knowledge and know-how specific to the position
Previous experience managing projects involving integrations, infrastructure or complex technical landscapes Strong knowledge of customers (business, culture, needs). Good knowledge of ITIL. Familiar with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and applicability . Technical background, good grasp of IT Infrastructure solutions (Networking, Data/Cloud, Computing, etc, ...). Advanced proficiency in GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Experience with ITSM, preferably ServiceNow. Strong knowledge of products / service sold
