About the role:

We are seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager - Final Mile to lead strategic growth initiatives within our North American Ground Freight product, specifically focused on white glove home delivery of large goods. This is a high-impact, hunter-style role requiring full ownership of the sales cycle-from prospecting to pricing strategy to customer implementation.

You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, leading strategic pursuits, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including solutions design, operations, vertical leads, and commercial leadership. Your ultimate goal: drive revenue growth and increase product gross profit while positioning Maersk as a leader in the home delivery space.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle for final mile/white glove home delivery services

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including retailers and e-tailers, to grow the customer base and revenue

  • Act as subject matter expert for final mile logistics, collaborating with regional and global teams to deliver tailored solutions

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for business development, pricing, customer engagement, and service levels

  • Lead customer presentations, site visits, and product solution design

  • Partner with operations to ensure seamless implementation and long-term client satisfaction

  • Support new product rollouts, pricing decisions, and regional P&L goals

  • Provide training and mentorship to internal teams on final mile service offerings and strategy

  • Travel as needed (25-50%) to engage prospects, build relationships, and oversee implementations

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or 6+ years of relevant experience in white glove/final mile sales)

  • 8+ years in logistics, supply chain, or ground freight, including final mile/home delivery

  • Proven track record growing a book of business ($5M+ annually)

  • Deep understanding of LTL, white glove delivery, and retail/e-tailer supply chain models

  • Strong commercial acumen and experience leading strategic deal negotiations

  • Mastery of the full sales cycle; confident presenter and relationship builder

  • Highly organized, data-driven, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills

  • Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite

  • Bonus: Existing book of business, experience with furniture/appliance delivery, or advanced degree (MBA)

Travel Requirements: Domestic travel (USA, Mexico and Canada) expected up to 35% - 50%.

Salary:

$125,000.00 to $200,000.00

Benefits:

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
