  • Estimated annual base pay: $25.23(minimum) - $31.54(midpoint) - $37.85(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator, with direction from the site EHS Manager, will coordinate and maintain elements of a safety program and/or environmental processing, monitoring, remediation equipment, and also interface with outside vendors. The EHS Coordinator will perform routine inspection and maintain confidential and proprietary data related to member compliance, Gensuite reporting, illness/injury reports, as well as proper documentation necessary for corrective actions.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Maintain detailed records of confidential and proprietary information related to safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure all health and safety compliance documents are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Conducts daily walkthroughs and weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections to monitor compliance with local, state and federal requirements. Regularly inspect facilities and operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standard
  • Assist with training members on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices to minimize workplace hazard.
  • Coordinate and enforce EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. Document and update written EHS policies and procedures.
  • Assist with investigation of incidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinates the maintenance and compliance of housekeeping requirements in manufacturing and hazardous waste accumulation areas including satellite accumulation areas throughout the site.
  • Lead and participate in site safety committees to foster a collaborative approach to workplace safety.
  • Assist in promoting a culture of safety through regular communication, recognition programs, and safety campaigns.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on health and safety issues to all departments.
  • Maintains electronic records including the use of Gensuite Applications- Incident Management, Sustainability Reporting, Concerns Reporting, Action Tracking System, Compliance Calendar, e.t.c.

What We Are Looking For

  • US - High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years experience managing hazardous waste and preparing DOT or equivalent shipping papers.
  • US Department of Transportation Hazmat Employee Training Certification or equivalent required
  • OSHA 10/30 Hour General Industry or degree in safety, or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • General knowledge of Federal, State and local safety, health, air, hazardous waste, storm water and wastewater regulations
  • The ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team.
  • The ability to write effectively, to read and understand work documents, to communicate information clearly to coworkers and supervisors, and the ability to listen attentively and comprehend key pieces of spoken information.
  • The ability to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs. This includes generating or transcribing appropriate words, numbers, or symbols to complete written or computerized forms, reports, or logs.
  • The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • The ability to critically analyze unsafe work conditions as well as maintain confidentiality of sensitive or proprietary data.
