Physician: UROLOGIST / ENDOUROLOGIST, Academic Boston University Aram V. Chobanian and Edward Avedisian School of Medicine Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BU-CASM) is recruiting a Board-certified/board-eligible Urologist who has completed a fellowship in endourology/minimally invasive surgery to join the Department of Urology. Boston Medical Center, the academic teaching medical center for BU-CASM offers State-of-the-art care with all the latest medical and surgical technology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the Urology team places a high priority on teamwork, training and education of urology residents and medical students, and on improving care through research. The successful candidates will have strong clinical credentials, a collaborative approach to patient care, and a commitment to teaching. Appointment of a faculty rank at BU-CASM will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. About Chief of Urology: Dr. Toby C. Chai is a Urologist and the Chief of Urology at Boston Medical Center and Chair of the Department of Urology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Chai has been PI on NIH R01, P20, and U01 grants. He has published 150 papers, reviews, and medical texts. He serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Physiology - Renal, and is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Bladder and Associate Editor for the Journal of Urology. His peers have recognized his significant contributions to the field by honoring him with the American Urological Association's Victor A. Politano Award for outstanding work in treatment of urinary incontinence and innovations in bladder research and the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction's Distinguished Service Award for outstanding contributions to urodynamics, female urology and voiding dysfunction, and exemplary service to the Society. Requirements: Qualified candidates will possess an MD or MD/PhD and be board-certified/eligible in Urology. Candidates will be licensed or eligible for a medical license in the state of Massachusetts. Academic rank will be based on qualifications and experience.
