This Position reports to:

Excitation Proposal Manager

In this role, you will demonstrate your knowledge by reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with relevant group/division/business directives, instructions, and company procedures.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop contract strategies in line with ABB's policies, customer requirements, and project execution plans - factoring in risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
  • Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with internal directives, procedures, and legal standards.
  • Support procurement and sales teams by analyzing contractual terms, identifying risks, preparing risk mitigation plans, and offering contract-related guidance.
  • Prepare and manage cost models, insurance and bond pricing, risk assessments, and Risk Reviews - ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate complex project setups (e.g., Wayfair, Buy America, Regional orders), and align with the supply chain team on special customer requirements involving third parties.
  • Maintain well-organized, up-to-date records of contracts and supporting documentation, and assist in optimizing the contract review process in collaboration with the legal counsel team.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing issues based on lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • A keen interest in reading and commenting on contracts, as well as conducting high-level negotiations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in Contract Management, Vendor Management, Customer Management, and internal stakeholder engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning/program analysis, combined with demonstrated business acumen, integrity, a results-oriented approach, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to delivering effective presentations and communications, along with proficient leadership, interpersonal, and cross-cultural engagement skills.
  • A degree in Business, Administration, or Law, with a specialization relevant to system contracts, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required; Spanish language knowledge is considered as advantage
