Responsibilities
Systems Administrator, Advisor provides server administration and management for virtual and physical servers. Services include building, documenting, operating, maintaining, and sustaining enterprise, regional, and local physical and virtual servers supporting mission applications and systems as well as the underlying shared application and infrastructure services.
Work with Sponsor's partners for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers or other computer systems.
- Document computer hardware, system support, diagnostic software, and configuration settings for the full lifecycle of the delivered capability.
- Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems.
- Install system upgrades.
- Manage system resources and optimizing system performance.
- Perform system startup, shutdown, diagnostics, file management, user and group setups, and determination of login scripts.
- Assist in the coordination of system downtime planned for maintenance, system patches, upgrades, or new releases.
Perform data and file storage administration and related functions including provisioning and monitoring backups and restorations. - Manage Active Directory domain and infrastructure to include DNS, DHCP, Group policy, etc.
- Configure server roles, promote server roles such as domain controllers, configure RAID, and configure services provided from network servers.
- Configure and deploy Windows servers and Windows workstations in virtual and physical environments.
- Manage hypervisor host and VMs.
- Maintain new and current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. We do not have the ability to nominate candidates for clearance processing.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience, or 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining hardware and software.
- Demonstrated experiencing managing and maintaining PC, server, laptop, and printer hardware and software.
- Demonstrated experience working outside of an enterprise IT environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2022/2016, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Demonstrated experience applying efficient task management and ability to adjust to changing requirements
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
