Watts is a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial water heaters and boilers based in south Fort Worth, is seeking a Stockroom Supervisor to manage the organization and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies at our state-of-the-art facility. This role involves supervising stockroom personnel, ensuring inventory accuracy, managing supply chains, and supporting lean initiatives to streamline operations. The position is on-site and does not offer work-from-home opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Supervision and Direction: Lead and manage stockroom personnel, ensuring efficient receipt, put away, issuance, and distribution of materials and supplies.
  • Process Documentation: Establish and document processes to ensure transaction and inventory accuracy.
  • Training: Train employees on procedures for inventory transactions and bin accuracy.
  • Policy Development: Develop and maintain policies to reduce costs, increase inventory accuracy and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts, ensure inventory accuracy and collaborate with the Materials and Procurement teams to balance stock levels and prevent stockouts.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with Procurement and Planning to ensure timely material supply and manage inventory to meet production requirements.
  • Job Parts Accuracy: Ensure job parts kits are accurately picked and delivered on schedule.
  • ERP Utilization: Utilize ERP systems to schedule job kits and manage inventory effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Backlog Management: Address past-due backlogs and align inventory management with demand.
  • E&O Inventory: Collaborate with the Materials and Finance on the disposal of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Lean Initiatives: Drive lean initiatives throughout the Stockroom and participate in company Lean events as a subject matter expert.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's degree required or equivalent years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (B.A. or equivalent from a four-year college or university).

MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage up to 25 employees within the Stockroom/Receiving Organization.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for full employee lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding achievements; addressing complaints; and resolving conflicts effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
