In the role of Lead Scheduler, we'll count on you to:



  • Assist the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager with planning and monitoring all aspects of major projects, with high energy and great attention to detail
  • Prepare base schedules, schedule reviews, monthly schedule update analysis, time impact analysis, and investigation and analysis of schedule impacts
  • Monitor and document construction progress
  • Identify, track and assist in resolution of construction issues/conflicts
  • Act as liaison between the client, contractors or designers concerning construction issues/conflicts and plan revisions
  • Monitor, review and report to the Project Controls Manager, Project Manager, and/or clients on the status of schedules with regard to construction contract schedule compliance with the construction contract specifications, and review and provide written summary progress reports stating acceptability or unacceptability of the schedules
  • Coordinate with the Estimator, Commercial Manager, and Risk Management teams as needed to ensure alignment between schedule, cost, and risk elements of the project
  • Mentor and train others
  • Present at conferences, write articles, be a senior scheduling resource for others at HDR
  • Support the development and implementation of scheduling best practices, tools, and standards across projects to ensure consistency and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Cost control background
  • Certifications (one or more): CPE, CCP, CEP, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, PRMP, DRMP, CFCC, PE

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 15 years Construction Scheduling
  • Proficiency in using Primavera, and/or other scheduling software
  • Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules required
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
