Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an entry-level plumbing engineer in our Wauwatosa, WI office. Responsibilities include:
- Designing building plumbing and fire protection systems under the guidance of experienced plumbing and fire protection engineers
- Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction
- Developing 3D models of the building systems using Revit
- Assisting with load calculations, system sizing, plumbing and fire protection equipment selection; and attending client meetings.
- Travel and entrance onto military bases and airports will be required for this position.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:
- Working in an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.
- Coursework in REVIT.
- Coursework in building mechanical systems such as plumbing and fire protection.
- International Plumbing Code requirements, ASPE standards, NFPA standards, and building construction materials.
