Responsibilities * Utilize process improvement methodologies such as value stream mapping, workflow efficiencies, data analytics, payback analysis, lean and six sigma to identify areas of opportunity. * Deliver and assist in the development of standard operating procedures, floor layouts and process workflows for efficient operations * Lead efforts for product development and manufacturing processes for all levels of production. * Direct and lead quality initiatives including the development of inspection plans, First Articles and Process Capabilities * Take a leading role in project management for Manufacturing and Quality initiatives * Participates in brainstorming sessions and cross-functional operations teams * Lead Root Cause Analysis of product quality issues and equipment failures - Develop robust, repeatable solutions to prevent reoccurrences * Work with Intralox Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to continually improve our product and processes * Works with customers to update drawings Requirements * Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree * Internship experience within a Machine Shop environment or 6 months working experience in a manufacturing environment * Proven applications of lean manufacturing techniques * Strong mechanical and blueprint reading knowledge * Must have a strong propensity towards continuous improvement and have a high sense of urgency * Self-managed - Ability to work unsupervised and work well within a team environment with the ability to work in a team environment while directing technical resources * Excellent communication (verbal/written) and relationship management skills * Strong documentation and organizational skills * Strong mechanical aptitude * Proficient in MS office software * May require some travel but will be minimal Preferred Qualifications * Proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks and/or Pro-Engineer Creo) (moved from required)
