JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Peer Success Coaches (PSC) represent an integral part of The Chaiken Center for Student Success. PSCs will work with students on an individual and group basis to help them developacademic and success skills. PSCs will represent The Chaiken Center at campus events and will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Chaiken Center staff, faculty, and university staff in delivering and developing academic coaching and providing feedback to improve student services. PSCs will have the opportunity to develop as leaders by learning and honing a variety of skills. They will have the opportunity to participate in problem solving and creativity as they determine effective ways of engaging with students who learn in different ways. PSCs will also develop and fine-tune organizational skills as they balance individual student appointments and group sessions. This opening also allows PSCs to enhance their communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for students who have an interest in the helping professions such as: education, customer/client services, or any occupation in which you will utilize problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills.
