Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical skills in Database and SQL Snowflake SQL and domain expertise in Loyalty partner integration. Experience in Loyalty cards and membership management is a plus. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to drive business insights and decisions.
  • Supervise the development and maintenance of data models databases and data integration processes.
  • Guide in SQL and Snowflake SQL to optimize data queries and ensure efficient data retrieval.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and implement data quality standards to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct data profiling and data cleansing activities to maintain high data quality.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders.
  • Supervise and solve data issues providing timely resolutions to ensure data integrity.
  • Support the integration of dedication partner data ensuring seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze dedication program data to identify trends patterns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance loyalty partner integration processes and improve overall program performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and loyalty program management.
Qualifications
  • Must have strong technical skills in Database and SQL with extensive experience in Snowflake SQL.
  • Must have domain expertise in Loyalty partner integration with a deep understanding of related processes.
  • Nice to have experience in Loyalty cards and membership management contributing to the role.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Must have good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Must have a proactive and thorough approach ensuring high data quality and accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to mentor and guide junior team members fostering a positive team environment.
Certifications Required

Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Snowflake SnowPro Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 16, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
