POSITION PURPOSE We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic to join our Customer Experience and Energy Services department. This individual will provide critical program management and daily support to Madison Gas and Electric's (MGE) customer programs and services. This person will be responsible for program planning and execution throughout the program lifecycle, including understanding and responding to customer needs, improving program processes, and working closely with internal stakeholders, including Regulatory, IT, Corporate Communications, and others to ensure regulatory, participation, and customer satisfaction goals are met. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to customer inquiries about programs and technologies.
- Evaluates and provides implementation support of promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with program line strategy and corporate brand and that the message is effectively conveyed.
- Gathers data, performs analysis, and completes program reports, regulator data requests, and other non-routine reports as requested.
- Coordinates with program staff and customers to actively manage multiple projects throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Determines project eligibility by reviewing, validating, and approving application documentation; inform customers of decision.
- Exercises independent judgement to anticipate project/customer needs and ensure projects progress in a timely manner.
- Understands and interprets program documentation, including but not limited to guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Updates project tracking systems, including online software, Microsoft Office and call center software. PC, keyboarding, and typing/data entry proficiency.
- Payment processing, billing adjustments, data entry, gathering and tracking data and assuring data quality using various software programs.
- Exporting predesigned batch reports on a recurring weekly basis.
- Attending and assisting in staff meetings and other program support groups or projects.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, economics, market research or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years' experience in customer programs or project management.
- Experience working with utilities, energy efficiency and demand response preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful program throughout its lifecycle.
- Proven ability to develop program and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Familiar with energy topics and policy, such as rate design, energy efficiency, demand response, or distributed energy resources.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Familiar with using and applying analytic technologies and techniques such as online analytical processing, data warehousing, business scorecards, performance dashboards, and data mining.
