Marketing Intern - Oncology Product Marketing - Summer 2025

Schedule and Hours: We are seeking a summer 2025 intern who will work 32-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM - 6PM Mountain Time.

This is a Remote with opportunity to work hybrid for an intern that lives in commutable distance of one of our locations in Utah, California, or Ohio.

Myriad Genetics discovers, develops, and commercializes molecular genetic tests that determine the risk of developing disease, assess disease progression, and guide treatment decisions in Oncology, Women's Health, and Mental Health. We are a pioneer and leader in genomic research, and we are committed to advancing the science of personalized medicine as we refine and develop more products to address unmet medical needs.

We are seeking a Product Marketing Intern to join our Oncology Marketing team. The Oncology Product Marketing intern will help execute the strategic marketing initiatives to increase market awareness and drive revenue growth of the complete portfolio of Oncology products. This position will have the opportunity to complete tangible project deliverables over the course of the semester, bring value during a time of growth and expansion, and interact with a broad set of business unit stakeholders which may include Digital and Omnichannel Marketing, Sales Enablement, Field Sales, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, Commercial Operations (Salesforce and Marketing Cloud) and Sales Training.

Responsibilities:



  • Support marketing plan strategies that drive paired testing and promote full Oncology portfolio
  • Work in partnership with omnichannel marketing and sales enablement to support development of materials not limited to collateral, ads, emails, and internal communications that support the needs of the outside sales channels
  • Provide input and help execute product-specific marketing tactics as needed
  • Assist with daily administrative duties that are designed to provide exposure to the following learning objectives:

    • Understand the fundamentals of product marketing in the healthcare industry
    • Gain experience in product content strategy and messaging to engage key target audiences and build brand awareness
    • Learn about key marketing KPIs and how to use them to optimize tactics
    • Gain first-hand experience in common content and project management applications, including Seismic, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Confluence, Jira and others

  • Manage timelines and proper execution of ideas within fast-paced, dynamic environment


Qualifications:



  • Current university student pursuing a bachelor's degree (or minor) in marketing or life sciences paired with education, interest, and or experience in product (brand) marketing / management required
  • Major or minor degree areas could be in marketing or other business areas, genetics, biology, or related sciences
  • Relevant experience or coursework that may include cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, marketing strategy, product management, or brand management
  • Minimum of Junior (3rd Year) or above status preferred
  • 3.0 minimum GPA required
  • Previous internship or experience in biotech, healthcare, or adjacent industry preferred
  • Ability to manage projects of varying complexity with strong execution and organization
  • Ability to learn concepts and tasks quickly and accurately, without hesitating to ask for assistance when needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or other similar systems
