A Day In The Life

  • Innovate and Inspire:Take charge of product definitions for HGUS, including designs, drawings, and knowledge transfer. Your day-to-day leadership will directly influence the rollout of groundbreaking products.
  • Empower and Lead:Develop and manage a talented team of product engineers and designers. Your guidance will foster their professional growth and uphold our commitment to excellence.
  • Drive Efficiency:Spearhead initiatives to reduce material costs through innovative design enhancements and strategic material substitutions. Your efforts will not only boost profitability but also sustainability.
  • Enhance Processes:Continuously refine our CAD, PDM, and engineering change management processes. Your foresight in implementing new software will streamline our operations and set new industry standards.
  • Collaborate and Strategize:Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to crystalize product requirements and set achievable goals. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all teams are synchronized and milestones are met.
  • Champion Quality and Innovation:Implement quality guidelines and internal specifications that align with our corporate vision. Your commitment to innovation will encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, keeping us at the cutting edge.
  • Build Relationships:Develop a robust network within the industry, including contractors, distributors, and regulatory bodies. Your interactions will enhance our market presence and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in Product or Manufacturing Engineering, with a hands-on approach in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 5 years of experience with ERP software, preferably SAP, and CAD modeling tools like SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated leadership with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A strong ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to travel 25-30% within the US to keep your finger on the pulse of operations and innovations.
