Job Title- Design Drafter

Job Location- East Aurora, NY 14059 (Onsite)

Job Duration- 6 Months

Shift: 1st shift


Note:

  • The position will be 100% onsite-the potential opportunity to work hybrid schedule after the first few months.
  • Individual contributors with specialized knowledge and skills within a technical discipline.
  • May direct the work of other lower-level professionals in the context of a project, process, or program.
  • The majority of time is spent overseeing technical design, implementation, or delivery of projects, processes, or programs using technical skills acquired through advanced education or equivalent work experience


Responsibilities:

  • This job family is responsible for the engineering and technical operations of the organization and managing or performing research and development.
  • Activities include undertaking research, design, and development activities to improve the organization's products and services; designing, constructing, testing, and operating equipment; ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met in production processes; interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications; developing and testing theories on the properties of materials and ingredients under various conditions; and scientific research or quality testing in a laboratory environment.
  • Positions in this sub-family design product components or portions of a functional system as part of a broader engineering solution. Activities include: creating layouts and detailing mechanisms, structures, and parts for a major/more complex product component, portion of a functional system/manufacturing operation, or technically advanced prototype; researching ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, strength-weight efficiency, etc. and preparing cost studies for assigned components; using Computer-Aided-Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE) software during the conceptual design process; identifying design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommending revisions and/or improvements in design layout to engineers or designers.
