The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process-from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Group

The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process-from research and development to final volume production.

Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Role

The Technical Engagement Manager (TEM) is responsible for understanding key customer's roadmap and challenges and creatively driving the adoption of KLA products and solutions at the customer site. This individual will manage and lead a team of Application Engineers

The TEM should be able to build relationships and have technical discussions with senior technical personal at customers (at a level of Section /Department Manager) and be highly capable of influencing customer decisions.

  • The TEM should know about wafer fab processes and KLA product portfolio with the goal of mapping customer challenges to our solutions
  • The TEM is responsible for creating penetration, share and adoption strategies for KLA products at the customer site.
  • The TEM is responsible for arranging and driving all Technical Committee Meetings with the customer (usually once a quarter)
  • The TEM would be responsible for driving his/her team to execute on the strategic plans laid out for the year and ensure the team is motivated, engaged and trained to the highest level.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications/Education Desired

  • Advanced degree with8+ years of experience in developing solutionsfor advanced fab operations
  • 3 years of experience managing and leading a team of engineers
  • Requires in depth knowledge of advanced fab operations
  • Excellent communicator and technical collaborator with proven experience working closely with partners on identifying and driving technology solutions
