CLA is currently seeking a Manager Application Development to join our growing internal IT team. The Manager Application Development's essential job functions: Oversee the entire lifecycle of software applications and services, from planning and design to development, testing, and maintenance. The individual leads a team of software developers, setting goals and deadlines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Essential Job Functions
- Encourage and drive innovation within the team to develop cutting-edge solutions
- Supervise the development teams by providing technical guidance and feedback, while championing Agile and DevOps principles.
- Lead multiple teams of application developers ensuring enforcement of standards, high quality output, and on-time success.
- Closely collaborate with business and other technical teams to roadmap strategic initiatives, define project scope, success milestones and execute software development projects to meet requirements.
- Oversee progress and resolve conflicts that impact the project objectives, expectations, or deliverables.
- Manage all technical aspects of the products and services your team creates.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee the research and implement new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of software development.
- Ensure the smooth running of applications in production environments, proactively monitoring performance and reliability.
- Oversee the response time to production issues, diagnosing and resolving problems to minimize downtime and impact on users.
What you will need:
- 6 years relevant experience required in development with 3+ years in leadership role
- Bachelor's degree is required, or combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Technical Competencies
- Ability to lead full stack software development with expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js within an Azure environment
- Demonstrate a good understanding of software development lifecycle and IT organization's governance strategy and policies.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong communication skills.
