Description

The Clinical Services Manager has organization-wide accountability for patient and employee safety practices, defining and embedding clinical best practice standards, building a culture of high reliability (HRO culture), and creating system-wide processes for a consistent foundation of clinical care. This newly created role reports to the Director of Operations and will be a valuable member of the Operations Leadership team, embedding a clinical perspective into overall workflows, process improvement efforts, and elevating input from key stakeholders - MCN physicians, advanced practice providers, clinicians, and clinical team members. This role will closely collaborate with operations managers supporting 5 clinics, infusion services, neurodiagnostics, and rehab services to embed practices for consistently safe, high quality care across the organization.

A successful candidate will bring a breadth of knowledge and formative experiences in people leadership, role structure design, clinical program development, change management, incident reporting processes, root cause analysis, and advancement in performance on quality measures. This role is an individual contributor with dotted-line accountabilities to support the competency, training, and onboarding of general neurology RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and research coordinators. This position offices at Golden Valley, but will travel to all MCN sites for routine visits and as needed.

Key Accountabilities



  • Organization process improvement including organizing work sites and work processes to optimize clinical and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborates with all clinical departments and relevant support departments to achieve defined goals to advance the integration of clinical, operational, and financial information to improve safety, experience, quality and cost of care
  • Build and manage safety incident reporting system to include identification and resolution of errors, HIPAA concerns, patient and employee safety events, and behavioral concern reporting
  • Leads the safety committee, focusing on both employees and patients
  • Design,implement, and maintain new programs and service offerings, facilitating the contributions of key stakeholders and partners (ex. CMS GUIDE Model supporting needs of patients and caregivers experiencing dementia)
  • Manage successful MIPS Healthcare Quality Program participation to include measure selection, performance monitoring, provider education and coaching, management of regulatory requirements, and reporting of measures to CMS
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance and organization's adherence to clinical standards
  • In collaboration with others, determine appropriate scope of job duties and standard work for RN, LPN, and CMA roles with input on Patient Care Coordinator role as well
  • Shared accountability for HIPAA training and compliance oversight with Executive Leaders
  • Determine clinical workflow design for operational care delivery processes, creating policies and workaids, training solutions, auditing practices, and competency assessment practices to support success of clinical staff and providers in achieving clinical excellence in patient care
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff including needs with EPIC upgrades and MCN change efforts
  • Support physician research programs and research assistant team members as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned



Position Requirements

Education and Experience:



  • RN with BSN or other advanced training
  • Current RN license
  • 5 years of experience in nursing leadership including experience in ambulatory clinic setting
