Position Summary

The Computer Support II is an experienced position that will assist other GCE and Government technicians and perform technical duties. Members in this position will identify, manage, escalate, and resolve technical issues. Regular responsibilities include installation and configuration of software, print drivers, utilities, etc., to be utilized on workstations and computer networks; troubleshooting all information technology issues, including software, hardware, and networking; and monitoring installed systems, identifying problems, and taking corrective action.

Role Requirements

• Education:
  • Must have an Associate's degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the field or a related area.
• Must possess a Security+ CE certification.
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must have good computer and clerical skills to include advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
  • Hepatitis B: Three shot series OR a positive titer.
  • Influenza: Current season.
  • MMR: Two-shot series OR a positive titer.
  • PPD: Two TB skin test at least one week apart but within 12 months OR a QFT/T-spot.
  • Tdap: One-time dose; then Td booster every ten (10) years.
• Must have the following documentation available at time of in-processing:
• Varicella: Two shot series OR a positive titer OR medical documentation of chickenpox diagnosis as a child.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate.
