Job Description: Datacenter/Central Office Technician Overview Seeking a Datacenter/Central Office Technician for a long-term project involving the migration of Datakit equipment to IP. This role requires extensive travel and involves working in various datacenter environments across the country.
Responsibilities * Locate existing Datakit equipment and install new T-40 mediation devices. * Run cables and migrate Datakit to IP. * Work at heights of up to 16 feet and under datacenter floors. * Troubleshoot connectivity issues during cutovers. * Travel 100% of the time, leaving on Sundays and returning on Fridays, with some flexibility in travel schedules. Requirements * Experience with central office equipment and cabling. * Proficiency in telecommunications and Cat5 installation. * Ability to work independently and manage schedules efficiently. * Strong troubleshooting skills. * Experience with Datakit and T-40 devices is a plus.
