Position Summary

As a Senior Product Manager for iKnowMed Community Oncology EMR, you will maintain the product roadmap of core clinical and financial modules through close collaboration with physician practices, , Ontada commercial, and engineering teams. You will also be the primary owner of the regulatory content ensuring IKM meets regulatory requirements. You should have a strong background in both EHRs and federal regulations such as Cures, HTI1 etc.

He/she will follow the agile development methodology to rapidly iterate prototypes and scales them to product deliverables for our health care oncology customers. This role will facilitate collaboration between technology teams and maintain open lines of communication with development resources.Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct and resolve difficult conversations and competing priorities is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and review the product roadmap with key stakeholders and obtain agreement.
  • Understand general clinical and oncology practice workflows and leverage this to build features our customer love.
  • Leverage your background with EHRs to identify both pain points as well as technical obstacles that must be addressed.
  • Work with legal and compliance to understand the regulatory landscape and develop product requirements to meet upcoming regulations and guide the broader product team
  • Analyze business requirements to identify the problem to be solved and work with UX and engineering to develop the optimal solution.
  • Synthesize business requirements into epics and translate epics into stories to enable development teams to understand scope.
  • Prepare user stories to support iterative delivery of the product.
  • Understand technical implications of features and how to break them down into stories according to the Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, Testable principles.
  • Facilitate and lead workshops/discussions with cross functional teams in order to discover customers' pain points and generate ideas for solutions.
  • Communicate upstream and/or downstream dependencies based upon planned work.
  • Determine product priorities, including new features, compliance requirements and bug fixes.
  • Support products' go-to-market strategy.
  • Expand product adoption through communication and collaboration across all McKesson technology business segments.
  • Escalate high risk product roadblocks to leadership.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

BA, MSc, work experience in Product Management

Critical Skills

  • 5+ years of EMR regulatory and clinical experience, building tools and EMRs
  • Experience with healthcare data, real-world data, or clinical data
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with iKnowMed (especially Orders)

Additional Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work across cross functional areas
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and self-direction, ability to teach others and willingness to learn new techniques
  • Willingness to jump into projects and complex environments to make sense of ambiguous details in multiple domains

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$109,700 - $182,900
