Brief Description: TTM offers summer internships to qualified Engineering students who are looking to gain professional experience in the field of engineering and manufacturing technology. In this current opportunity, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer Intern to help refactor and organize production environment scripts into a structured repository system with GitLab CI/CD pipelines. This role is ideal for someone interested in automation, infrastructure management, and on-premises DevOps workflows. Program Outline: Each internship project selection will include 1 major and up to 2 minor projects, all deliverable within the summer period of 12-14 weeks. Each intern will be assigned a manager and a mentor/champion to help guide them and serve as a resource for them. The program offers additional opportunities for professional, career and leadership development through training and teambuilding activities such as 1-day offsite training, company picnic, softball match, etc. Responsibilities Refactor and migrate production scripts into a Git repository for version control. Design and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing. Develop automated tests to ensure stability within CI/CD workflows. Utilize containerization (Docker) within an on-premises environment. Maintain and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and automate administrative tasks. Document infrastructure processes, automation workflows, and best practices. What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in on-premises DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, and infrastructure automation. Exposure to Linux-based system administration and SQL-driven automation. Opportunity to contribute to real-world production environments. Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field with a focus on DevOps. Prior internship experience or currently enrolled in a master's program. Experience with Git for version control and workflow management. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD for automating builds, testing, and deployments. Basic understanding of Linux (command-line usage, scripting, or troubleshooting). Knowledge of SQL databases (writing queries, simple optimizations). Preferred Qualifications Experience with automated unit testing in CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with Perl scripting is helpful. Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or similar). Some experience with automation and containerization (Docker). Familiarity with Bash scripting for automation tasks. Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting in a Linux environment.
