Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Outpatient Breast Surgery

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays, or call.

Description:

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to:



  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with breast disorders, including the spectrum of diseases from benign abnormalities to breast cancer survivorship.
  • Provide care and educate patients on high-risk treatment strategies, wellness care, and treatment plans for benign changes.
  • See patients with benign breast problems, post-operative complications, follow patients who are high risk for breast cancer, and follow breast cancer survivor patients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop, manage, and modify treatment plans for patients at high risk for breast cancer.
  • Treat patients with breast cancer risk factors through multidisciplinary care by Surgical Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Genetic Counselors, and Radiation Oncologists.


Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:



  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family.


If Physician Assistant*:



  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification


All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
