Job Title Software Engineering LeadJob Description Dotdash Media Inc. has an opening for a Software Engineering Lead in New York, New York. The position duties are as follows: Oversee various projects and the day-to-day activities of the front-end development team, providing technical guidance, holding high standards and supporting the team to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects. Daily duties include:
Role will supervise approx. 3 subordinates with the title of Front-End Engineers (15-1252.00 Software Developers occupation code), subject to business needs. The position requires at minimum a 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, a related technical field or foreign equivalent followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation where front-end engineering experience was gained. Experience must include: 5 years of experience in HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript, OOP Javascript and other relevant front-end technologies and frameworks (such as React, Angular, Vue.js); 3 years of full stack development experience; 3 years experience working with a component-based web framework with a server-side templating aspect (e.g., Vue+Nuxt, React+Next, JSP, FTL, Handlebars); and 1 year of experience managing or mentoring other developers. Role permits full-time telecommuting. Must be available during normal business hours U.S. ET. Must be willing to travel to office locations (Des Moines, IA and New York, NY) approx. 2-4 times per year for onsite meetings and visits. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
