Job Description:

Eastman's Chemicals and Acetate Manufacturing Division (CAMD) is accepting applications for theLimited-Service Employees (LSE)Operations role at our Kingsport, TN facility.

This job helps support the Tow and Yarn Operations, and basic tools and equipment are used to meet our customer needs.

Limited-Service Employees (LSEs) are part-time positions, without benefits, and are eligible to work up to 1300 hours in any 12-month period.

A minimum number of working hours per week cannot be guaranteed. A typical work week consists of three, eight-hour day shifts, which are determined by the scheduler and the business needs. A set schedule is not guaranteed.

LSE's may be asked to work different combination of days of the week, and that will vary week to week. Work scheduling will be assigned on the Wednesday prior to the following start of the work week. Must be willing to work up to at least 3 shifts per week.

This is a temporary operations position.

Job Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Must follow all safety procedures.
  • Know and obey the Eastman Basic Safety Expectations, CAMD Safety Musts, and Area-specific Safety Musts.
  • Must wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and hard hats at all times in designated areas. Dust mask, rubber gloves, face shields, and other protective equipment must be worn when required.
  • Be familiar with basic computer functions such as creating, sending, and receiving e-mail and data entry.
  • Have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative and a professional attitude.
  • Dependability in terms of reporting to work on time and when scheduled is a must.
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to apply mechanical fundamentals to properly operate and maintain the performance of the equipment within area of responsibility.
  • Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education and Qualifications Requirements:

Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Chemical Process Operations (CPO) certificate from NE State is preferred (not required).



Qualifications:



  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Completion of the WorkKeys assessment is preferred (not required).

Shift Information:

  • Typically work 3 days a week to ensure 1300 hours is evened out over a 12-month period.
  • Workdays will vary each week depending on customer needs.
  • This is a 6:15am to 2:45pm workday, Monday through Friday, and weekends and holidays are usually off time.
