About this opportunity:
Ericsson is a global company and one of the leading providers of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to service providers. This includes cellular network infrastructure and related services.
Ericsson's Security Research department covers a wide range of topics of relevance for cellular infrastructure, from hardware and trusted computing to applications of AI/ML for security functions. The intention for this internship is to explore novel ideas with applicability for the security of cellular infrastructure; detailed topic to be defined, depending on the expertise of the selected intern.
What you will do:
* Work onsite with our team in Santa Clara
* Develop novel concepts and tools for enhancing security (e.g., application of AI/ML to security functions/operations, data generation, or other development of security function)
* Prepare a proof-of-concept demonstration of internship progress at the end of the internship for presentation to an Ericsson Research audience.
The skills you bring:
We are looking for a self-motivated student with strong communication and problem-solving skills currently enrolled in a graduate program in computer systems security, networking, or machine learning. Of particular interest is interest and background in topics like AI/ML (Generative AI or adversarial ML), API security, mobile network security. Prior knowledge or experience with mobile network security is beneficial but not required.

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
* Santa Clara: $44/hr - $47/hr
