POSITION SUMMARY

The Outdoor Technician will be responsible for upkeep of exterior resort areas. The Outdoor Technician will work closely with the Resort Appearance Manager, department supervisors, and janitorial team. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the resort remains safe, clean, and maintained for all resort guests and employees. This is a full-time seasonal position, compensated at $20.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Assist with snow removal around the resort: shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding
  • Landscaping duties such as: mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, weeding beds, shoveling, etc.
  • Helping with the setup, maintenance and break down of events
  • Coordinating daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads
  • Help with daily setup and breakdown of all lodge area's
  • Empty trash bins, recycling bins, compost bins and pick up ground litter around the resort
  • Prepare reports of daily logs and incidents
  • Attend department safety meetings
  • Manage and maintain vehicles, tools, and keep inventory of supplies
  • Assist indoor custodial teams when business volumes require: cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash bins, painting, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required

Experience: Experience with snow removal and/or landscaping is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Reliable attendance
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and/or as a member of a team
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions


PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORKING CONDITIONS & ABILITY REQUIRMENTS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
