If you are a detail-oriented payroll professional looking for an opportunity to showcase your multi-state and international payroll knowledge, then we would like to meet with you!

The Payroll Coordinator performs all activities necessary to process the bi-weekly and monthly multi-state, ex-pat, and foreign payrolls, including processing voluntary deductions and external reports, and involuntary deductions such as garnishments. The Payroll Coordinator will document and update procedures for the Payroll Department.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed:

  • Review timesheets for non-exempt employees on a weekly basis and follow up with employees who are missing time.

  • Review and validate all new hire setups in all systems and update as necessary.

  • Validate foreign national employee set up in the payroll system.

  • Review 401k changes and loan repayment reports. Submit 401k contributions and FSA contributions to Plan Administrators.

  • Provide ongoing customer support to employees and resolve issues/questions relating to payroll.

  • Assist with tax reconciliations, preparation of year-end, worker's compensation and retirement plan audits.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of individual and team work product.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 2+ years of experience with payroll preparation/processing, payroll reporting and benefit administration on an integrated HR/Payroll system. Professional services experience preferred.

  • Current understanding of Federal and State laws and regulations as they pertain to Payroll.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

  • Experience in multi-state and foreign payrolls.

  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.

  • The mindset to provide superior client service.

  • Experience with Workday payroll system preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in all eligible locations. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits such as flexible options for healthcare, paid time off, and retirement savings.

San Francisco: $63,800.00 - $82,000.00

Silicon Valley: $65,300.00 - $83,800.00
