CAD Designer

Job Title: CAD design technician

Location : Muscatine, IA

Duration: 8+ Months

Pay range : $35-38/hr

Description:

• CAD design technician use computers to create 2D design - surface modelling, or 3D design
• Solid modeling with strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software.
• Use surface of modeling to draw a flat representation of the product.
• In solid modeling, create a 3D display of a structure or component.
• Engineers could then use this to take a or may a piece of manufacturing machinery to see where improvements could be made.
• Use designs to help prepare cost estimates on projects, and produce assembly instructions and maintenance manuals for installation, service and repair technicians.
• Technicians work on different parts of a project under the guidance of an engineer.
• A knowledge of material properties, an understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods is a requirement.
• 7+ years of experience.
