About the role

The Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting legal contract management, document preparation and analysis for multiple business lines under general supervision.

What you'll be doing

* Analyzes client and supplier contract terms to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.

* Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.

* Performs multiple contract reviews and develops creative solutions to resolve contractual matters.

* Prepares, organizes, and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.

* Drafts contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

* Reviews and provides feedback on proposals, contracts, and supplier agreements.

* Assists with coordinating contract compliance across multiple business units.

* Assists with reviewing and researching information for sales proposals.

* May negotiate contract terms with clients and/or provide related support to branch offices.

* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

About you

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in legal studies, business, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of related federal/state/local government contracting, contract management and risk assessment experience. Designation as a certified paralegal is preferred.

COMPETENCIES:

* Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

* Ability to write and/or proofread and edit written word and/or information in various formats.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.

* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

* Ability to accurately perform in a detail-oriented work environment.

* Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.

* Knowledge of and the ability to apply legal research techniques.

* Knowledge of and the ability to apply best practices in contract management.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; QuickBase experience a plus.
