Quality Engineer Intern

Your main responsibilities

Schindler Elevator Corporation is currently hiring for a Quality Engineer Intern. This QE Intern will learn and develop quality concepts and principles through collaboration with operations teams and cross-functional support teams.

Typical Intern responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the development and methods to implement document control.

* Assisting in establishing inspection methods and work standards using measurement techniques

* Assisting with problem solving events by establishing course of action to correct and prevent nonconformances

* Providing data analysis for Quality projects

* Regular contact with others outside the work group in a non-union manufacturing environment

* Supporting communication initiatives to highlight Quality projects.

* Identifying and creating visual management tools in work areas

What you bring

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/electrical/manufacturing engineering, or Business related discipline.
  • Sophomore/Junior Status (Preferred but not required) - Good academic standing.
  • Ability for high degree of interaction with the Quality teams and with manufacturing shop floor processes and employees.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of administrative, technical, and manufacturing assignments.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. High level of self-motivation and personal accountability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office for analyzing data and presenting projects.
