About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Product Owner based in Shelton, CT. The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders to represent their needs and work with a development team and supporting roles to provide global technology products and services that deliver business value and ROI.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Manages projects end-to-end, to deliver best business outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers, and project stakeholders, including any third parties to gather business requirements and define software functionality, throughout the release lifecycle, from inception to general release to ongoing support. May also work with internal and/or external development teams and vendor partners to deliver project objectives.
  • Works with product management and systems architects to appropriately capture feature requests, use cases, POC requests, and to organize them into properly prioritized user stories and epic backlogs.
  • Ability to think strategically about how actions and overall program will fit within the overall business needs and priorities by working with other project managers to improve the capabilities while managing adherence to business priorities as well as project procedures and standards.
  • May manage multiple complex projects/products simultaneously that cross different business units and/or companies.
  • Responsible for overall project success, business objectives, and ROI.
  • Translates requirements into appropriate documentation and communications that can be shared across the business and with customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support SaFe values by adhering to the SaFe agile principles along with the team's specific approaches. Assist scrum masters in assessing the agile maturity of the team and implementing a process that supports the team.
  • Work with stakeholders to create and organize the product and epic backlogs.
  • Develop project document deliverables such as user stories, epics, features, accreditation, documentation, release notes, etc.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience. CSPO desired. SaFe Agile experience desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in multiple functional areas which may include: business strategy & development, project management, or management consulting knowledge and skills (general and technical) or 2+ years experience as a product owner (5+ PO experience for senior level).
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Program Other Skill.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management tools, Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Workflow design tools.
  • General basic understanding or better of programming languages, DB, and APIs.
  • Experience with Agile Development and a strong sense of Agile Methodologies.

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
