A strong background in the Command and Control - Consolidated (CCS-C) system and associated satellite programs is highly desirable. Familiarity with the government development and sustainment lifecycle, along with relevant experience in development, testing, engineering, and integration, is preferred. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts both orally and in writing. Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team are both equally important. The selected applicant will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Primary responsibilities



  • As primary integration Point-of-Contact (POC) for development teams leverage expertise in virtualization (VMWare or equivalent) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent) to add new elements to the existing baseline
  • Integrate, deploy, and troubleshoot all system updates under the program to the existing system primarily in the classified development lab while also going to operational/test locations at PSFB/SSFB/VSFB as needed
  • Coordinate efforts across legacy and new development teams to modernize and enhance the existing system
  • Contribute and push for the adaptation of new technologies while ensuring continuity and stability of existing components
  • Track and manage integration tasks and issues using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Support engineering design efforts by providing practical integration and implementation feedback during system design activities
  • Support development efforts by installing and maintaining development tools and environments
  • Support test automation, system validation, and verification efforts, integrating system test methodologies into integration processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base content to support operational continuity
  • U.S. citizenship is required.


This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO, at the Kratos campus but will require semi-frequent travel to bases at Schriever and Peterson with occasional possible travel to Vandenberg.

Required Experience:

  • Active Security+ Certificate with CE and a minimum SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Five years of experience in space operations or a bacheloris degree in a relevant space-related field
  • Technical background in Linux/Windows/VMs/Containers with networking and NAS/SAN experience being great add-ons
  • Support ground system readiness activities including occasional customer (government) interactions for Agile demos and customer awareness
  • Support meetings with both internal as well as military/government stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms internally with some possible external coordination
  • Ability to travel for up to two weeks per year (less than 5% of the time)



Preferred Skills and Experience



  • MILSATCOM experience is desirable especially experience in C2 systems and/or SCN experience.
  • A strong background in maintaining and sustaining IT systems is desirable, particularly in an operational and/or test environment where classified and unclassified network segments are CDS-bridged.
  • Familiarity with system administration, troubleshooting, and deployment processes is desirable.
  • Experience working with technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, Java/C++, Networking/Cisco, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Docker/Kubernetes, NAS/SAN, VMware/Virtualization, and Ansible is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with a system deployment/operations/test background who can apply their expertise to system administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting will be well suited for this role.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000
