Position Details:

The Neurobehavioral Analyst at the Autism Center will work on NIH-funded projects and other studies investigating the neural traits and their association with behavioral and cognitive traits in children on the autism spectrum and/or those experiencing other neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD. Responsibilities include data quality control, analysis, and data collection using various methods such as MRI, EEG, physiological measures, and cognitive tasks. This role offers hands-on research experience in a collaborative environment with opportunities for peer-reviewed publications. Strong analytical, data management, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Reporting to the Research Director, this is a full-time, exempt hybrid position (in office 4 days per week) located in our Midtown, New York office.

You Will:

  • Implement quality assurance protocols for behavioral data structuring, harmonization, and preprocessing, making updates as needed in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI), other Research Scientists and Postdoctoral Research Fellows.
  • Learn and apply new statistical methods for analyzing neuroimaging, behavioral, and related data.
  • Develop graphs, reports, and summary presentations to effectively communicate project results.
  • Conduct scientific literature reviews under the guidance of the PI and Postdoctoral Fellows.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings through presentations and discussions.
  • Help prepare peer-reviewed manuscript submissions for publication.
  • Help with the collection of imaging, physiological, and behavioral data at designated facilities for assigned studies.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical engineering, Psychology or other related scientific fields required
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g.,python and/or R) required.
  • Familiarity with neuroimaging techniques (e.g. fMRI, EEG, etc)
  • Prior clinical and/or research experience in mental health, neurodevelopment and/or language, or autism or related developmental conditions

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
