The College of Medicine is seeking a Web Application Developer to be a part of our custom application development team. The team develops and maintains web-based applications and systems that support the admissions, student, resident, and administrative operations of the College of Medicine.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform system enhancements, new development, and support in custom application development projects.
  • Design, document and prototype software solutions.
  • Learn the details of the existing system to be able to Support, Analyze and Enhance.
  • Debug, repair, existing code/programs.
  • Apply program standards, error handlers and code conventions to new/existing applications.
  • Analyze problems, develop technical solutions and deliver the solution independently.
  • Work with clients and other project team members to develop application projects.
  • Perform other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor Degree within Computer Science or closely related field of study.
  2. Minimum 1 year of professional IT experience within IT Development which includes demonstrated experience in developing and/or modifying new and existing applications, including requirement analysis, design, code, test, debug, implementation and maintenance.
  3. Demonstrated experience developing web based applications using Oracle Application Express.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with design and implementation of data models.
  • Working knowledge of .Net and MS SQL Server database
