Join Our Team as a part-time Security Services Technician at Gallo!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage our Corporate Security Department's background investigation, badging, and internet/email investigation programs. In this role, you will coordinate pre-employment background checks for prospective employees, ensuring thorough research and examination of public records to verify critical details such as convictions, arrests, bankruptcies, liens, and unpaid taxes. Your expertise in reviewing and interpreting investigation findings will be essential in preparing comprehensive reports and maintaining accurate documentation.

As a Security Services Technician, you will assist with the semi-annual selection and evaluation of outside background investigation companies, ensuring we meet the highest standards. You will also conduct special investigations as requested by your supervisor, demonstrating your ability to handle sensitive and complex security-related assignments with discretion and professionalism.

You will manage our badging program, including creating and issuing access cards, maintaining the access card system database, and ordering necessary supplies. Your role will involve auditing access card usage and reporting relevant information to security management, ensuring the integrity and security of our facilities.

Monitoring internet and email usage for abuse, you will review instances, identify patterns, and coordinate investigations to uphold our company's standards. What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of administrative support, clerical experience or security officer experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Windows based program skills required.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Associates Degree or some college level course work.
  • Prior CSOC Operator experience.
  • Experience in the security field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state codes relating to criminal and civil actions.
  • Experience working independently and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Experience exercising discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $24.71 - $33.37 / hour
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
