10 Position Summary
At Power Plant, a 2x1 Combined Cycle plant, the Purchasing and Warehouse Coordinator manages purchasing and warehouse logistics of the plant. The position administers the plant's inventory program, including analyzing critical spare parts inventories. The position interfaces directly with Plant Management, Operations and Maintenance team to write specifications for equipment and parts, and orders parts and equipment as needed to support plant maintenance needs. The position directs shipments and resolves logistical challenges by communicating with Plant Management and suppliers. The position also tracks and places orders for consumable inventory, including chemicals and supplies. Tasks and Responsibilities

Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment.
Experienced forklift and heavy equipment operation.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of project management, execution, and oversight requirements.
Must have excellent facilitation skills.
Must be committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management of data.
Must be able to maintain business ethical relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to move forward and make decisions with ambiguous information; drive for effective results; demonstrate proactive approach.
Demonstrated hands-on approach to problem identification, resolution identification and effective countermeasure implementation.
Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, working knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Ability to articulate the business problem to be analyzed, quickly identify the critical elements of the problem, achieve a high-quality answer in a timely fashion, and synthesize answers to resonate with decision makers.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail and scheduling.
Dependable, reliable and predictable attendance is required.
Previous experience using SAP or other computerized accounting and inventory control system.
Experience in a power plant or other industrial environment and demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment and parts.
Must pass mechanical aptitude test. Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree and/or trade school certification in a technical or business field, or work experience in a related field. Required Certifications Working Environment
Indoor and outdoor work including adverse conditions such as heat, cold and high noise areas, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer & calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. Will be required to operate equipment for loading/unloading and transporting of materials.
Position is full-time and may require extended working hours with the possibility of weekend or holiday work as required by schedules, workload, and plant conditions. "On call" status will periodically be required.
