Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing the organization's accounts payable, employee expense reports, tracking of all lease obligations (store rent, cam, utilities and equipment), statement reconciliations, identifying general ledger entries and various other duties in the monthly accounting cycle. This position also prepares schedules and pulls documents for the annual audit. The Accounts Payable Specialist researches and answers various inquiries from staff, with a customer service attitude

A day in the life: In a typical day, a Accounts Payable Specialist can expect to...

• Accounts Payable - This function is transaction oriented, including the processing of documents, issuing checks, scanning paperwork and filing of documents. Accuracy is very important.

  Control Lists and Schedules - Develops control lists and audit schedules for various general ledger accounts and other activity. Researches accounts and suggests correcting general ledger entries as required.

  
  
• Administrative Duties - Assist with various administrative reports and duties in the Finance Department.
  
  

Job Pay & Perks:

• Pay range: $21.57-$29.19/hr.
• This is a flexible-hybrid role whose essential functions allow the employee to primarily work from a personal home office but also require the employee to work at a physical GESMN or partner facility as business needs require, sometimes with great urgency and little notice.

About You:

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Accounts payable experience.
• ERP Accounting platform experience; Great Plains a plus
• Experience with Accounts Payable automation software.
• Demonstrated competence with Word and Excel.
• Good telephone communication.
• Ability and desire to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while meeting frequent deadlines.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Accurate, efficient keyboard and calculator skills.

Prior Experience & Education:

• 2-5 Years of relevant experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
