Reporting to the Senior Director of JMCRS IT and as part of the JMCRS IT leadership team, the Director, IT Product Manager is a Senior member of the team, responsible for executing business projects to deliver best-in-class software across the different JMCRS business functions. Execution and strategically focused, the Product Manager is the conduit into the IT delivery portfolio, connecting strategic business goals and objectives to technology solutioning.

This role is accountable for assisting in defining technological foundational items that enable the goals and objectives of JMCRS. The Director, IT Product Manager will orchestrate the flow of work within the JMCRS IT Portfolio, engage key stakeholders and ensure exit criteria are met. They will be heavily involved with work within the initial stages of a project, helping to ideate and refine and work with key business stakeholders to take receipt/intake idea. In addition, the Director, IT Product Manager will ensure business readiness, value and acceptance criteria are well defined. They will drive stakeholder & leadership engagement via regular monthly Portfolio Reviews and partner closely with the Solution Architect and Tech & Strategy Leads as the work progresses towards a state of implementation.

What You'll Contribute

  • Define and drive JMCRS business priorities and project deliverables in alignment with business scope.
  • Own, optimize and orchestrate the internal portfolio management process, ensuring Epics are flowing through the system with the least amount of friction.
  • Ensure value of the work is clearly identified and that the business is informed on effort vs. value.
  • Act as content authority for the Agile teams regarding what needs to get built.
  • Persistently engage with business and functional partners and other stakeholders that represent the project/deliverable vision and business needs as well as members of the Agile Team.
  • Based upon the solution vision, drive, observe and/or review business feedback, as well as core capability strategy and enhancement efforts.
  • Set performance expectations, guide and coach a team of 5 Product Owners to ensure what is being developed satisfies the needs of the business.
  • Ensure the Product Owners' understanding of business objectives is strong.
  • Escalate business issues and questions for decision-making to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure overall delivery of business value and business adoption of solutions.
  • Exercise judgment in planning and latitude in determining objectives of assignments.
  • Make decisions that integrate business goals/objectives aligned with project
  • Partner closely with Product Owners and business areas to facilitate process improvement exercises, engaging external support when required.
  • Lead and optimize Product Management practice and manage Product Owners with a continuous improvement mindset.

What You're Good At

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT product management or a related field, with at least 6 years in a supervisory role
  • Advanced leadership traits and demonstrated success partnering with business SMEs and Leadership
  • Working knowledge of Agile Frameworks, preferably Scrum and/or SAFe
  • Working knowledge of process optimization methodologies, such as Six Sigma and/or Lean
  • Experience with process mapping tools, such as MS Visio is a plus
  • Ability to gain a broad understanding of overall software delivery roadmaps and related strategies
  • Experience leading small to large projects of varying complexity
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, written, and listening skills, capable of influencing and fostering buy-in at all organizational levels through inclusive storytelling and leadership.

The salary range is $136,461 - $228,467. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant years of experience.
