StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we're doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.

The Gulfstream Crew Chief will play the critical role in managing and building our Gulfstream Service Team. The Crew Chief has ultimate responsibility for the quality of maintenance work and turn time. This individual will supervise a crew of technicians and/or shop personnel in the maintenance of Gulfstream corporate aircraft to ensure maintenance is accomplished successfully, outdates are met, and customers are satisfied.

What to expect in this role:



  • Be the technical expert and leader on our new Gulfstream Team.
  • Manage a crew of A&P Mechanics performing routine and heavy maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Appraise, recommend salary and other status change, reward, recognize and discipline members of the crew.
  • Assign work to crew members based upon scheduled outdates and the technical expertise of the various employees.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians on aircraft maintenance configurations, as well as service bulletins, directives, and enhancements.
  • Monitor hours charged to a job to assure that costs are controlled and outdates met.
  • Reviews employee time cards on a daily basis to verify accuracy of time charged to work orders.
  • Review workbook for sign-offs and parts issues after departure, but prior to closing in the inspection department.
  • Perform final "walk around" to ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for departure.
  • Assure that crew members are well-trained on assigned aircraft, that they are scheduled for periodic technical training in-house or at designated off-site locations.
  • Perform 'hands-on' maintenance as required to assure an on-time departure and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed to assure that customers have a positive experience at the facility.
  • Actively work to simplify for efficiency, ease of work performance, quality, and turnaround time.


Basic Qualifications:



  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an A&P Mechanic performing scheduled maintenance on Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Minimum of 2 years' of leadership experience working as a Lead Mechanic, Crew Chief, or Supervisor for Gulfstream aircraft
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • A minimum of seven (7) years' experience as an A&P Mechanic working with Gulfstream aircraft
  • Previous experience working in a MRO or Gulfstream Service Center environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, company leadership, and engineering teams
  • Extensive G450 / G550 airframe experience and training.
