Job Description

We are currently hiring a Consumer Insights COOP for our Consumer Insights and Analytics Team at our headquarters in the Seaport area in Boston, MA*. This position is from July-December.

*This role is hybrid, which requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite 3 days per week.

BBC will provide CO-OPs with meaningful learning, social, and networking experiences, exposure to real life business challenges, platform for creative thinking, and opportunity to work alongside and learn from BBC coworkers cross functionally.

By the end of CO-OP, students will have learned and gained core project management skills, marketing, and core business acumen, built relationships with our teams, have exposure to customer and consumer feedback, develop product launch support and marketing campaigns, and develop other marketing functional skills (depending on department placement).

The Consumer Insights Co-Op will support a wide breadth of quantitative and qualitative research to influence Boston Beer Company's brand strategies. The ideal candidate will be curious, inquisitive, have strong project management skills, an interest in market research, and critical thinking skills. This is a highly cross-functional role; the co-op may work with many different data sources and stakeholders (primarily Brand Management) throughout the company.

What You'll Brew:



  • This position will be responsible for supporting consumer research across all Brand teams, primarily focused on Twisted Tea, Sun Cruiser, and Hard Mountain Dew. The co-op will create surveys and PowerPoint presentations and assist with administrative tasks such as note-taking and file organization.
  • The co-op will experience firsthand how consumer research plays a role in growing and supporting our brands at Boston Beer. They will also learn how to analyze and report on data in a meaningful, impactful way to influence business decisions.
  • This position regularly collaborates with our Brand Management teams, and projects often arise in which the Co-Op works with other teams such as the Business Analysis and Marketing Analytics teams.
  • Co-op will work directly with external research partners to gain an understanding in vendor management, ad research, brand health tracking, and online community research.
  • Throughout their time at Boston Beer, the Co-Op is encouraged to contribute their ideas and be actively engaged in the research processes.
  • Time management and organizational skills are essential, as Boston Beer is a fast-paced environment.



What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications



  • Market Research / Consumer Insights experience a plus but not required
  • 2+ years of classes in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or other Social Sciences preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a flexible and changing schedule
  • Must be able to commute daily to the Boston Design Center in the Seaport District of Boston, MA.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States, now or in the future

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay range for this role if hired is $18 - $20 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
