Position Overview: This role is responsible for supporting distribution centers during revenue realignments and conversions, ensuring that customer shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert on new processes and systems, training local material handlers, and collaborating with the warehouse team on all activities related to receiving, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. This position may be for temporary or permanent hires.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-on Warehouse Support:

  • Collaborate with local material handlers on daily tasks such as picking, shipping, receiving, sorting, storage of supplies, and distributing products.
  • Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods, and reject unsatisfactory items as necessary.

Preparation Activities:

  • Support distribution center readiness prior to start-up, decommissioning, and conversion activities.
  • Tasks include capturing bin capacities, barcode capture, labeling and signage, initial process training, systems testing, and item attribute capture.
  • Assist with systems and equipment setup as needed.

Training Support:

  • Conduct training sessions in a classroom setting or provide hands-on training in the warehouse.
  • Training topics include batch builder, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and inventory control.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.

Critical Skills and Business Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months' experience in a McKesson warehouse.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient in material handling processes.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards E1 and MMS RF systems.

Travel Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Eligible for a Corporate Travel credit card.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends for stays of 2 weeks or longer.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Primarily a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent performance of warehouse activities.
  • Use of power equipment such as forklifts and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs repetitively throughout a shift without assistance (weight varies on product).
  • Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing throughout the day.
