Junior Systems Engineer- Sensor Integration

Our Space and Intelligence Sector is currently seeking a Junior Level Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Enterprise Engineering team in Springfield or Chantilly, VA. This team plays a critical role in supporting the government by offering systems engineering and integration expertise to the NGA's Sensor Integration (TIS) Office. We focus on providing strategic, solutions-oriented support for the integration of new sensor technologies into the broader Enterprise architecture.

Overall Assignment Description: The Junior Systems Engineer will apply a multi-disciplinary approach to support requirements engineering, solution development, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and various Federal Agencies, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate GEOINT.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist mid-level engineers and government teams in performing requirements engineering, solution design, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, evaluation, and maintainability within the NSG, ASG, and federal agencies.
• Contribute to the planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, system architectures, procedures, and problem-solving to automate or improve existing systems. This includes reviewing cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations.
• Assist in developing solution designs based on the analysis of requirements and the introduction of new technologies.
• Support the government in capturing and translating mission and customer requirements into actionable systems/capability requirements and solutions.
• Aid in the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and the execution of associated programs.
• Assist with systems integration activities under government guidance.
• Participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
• Support the government with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or another relevant STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering within government or industry settings.
• Working knowledge of Agile based tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Cameo
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
