Responsible for one or more of the following:

Process biweekly multi-state US and Canada payroll of approximately 2,600 employees using Dayforce

Provide high level of customer service to entire employee population

Field employee questions with the time keeping system, Dayforce

Audit and maintain employee files within Dayforce

Audit files from Dayforce or other sources ensuring high quality of data integrity

Process levies and garnishments as required by law

Process one-time payments sent through Workday (tuition reimbursement, R&R's, sign on bonuses, etc.)

Respond to internal and external auditor inquiries

Correspond with other departments, as needed, to ensure tax and labor regulations are followed

Audit pay period data and correct processing messages related to taxation and other payroll related errors

Prepare manual checks and ACH payments when needed

Work with vendors such as Sun Life, Client, and bswift to process payments and employee deductions

Work with HR to coordinate terminations and final payments dependent on state regulations

Administer and monitor severance payments according to the signed contract

Process off-cycle payrolls when needed

Assist in special projects as needed

Technical Skills: 3+ years related payroll experience; Multi-state payroll processing a must; DayForce system experience a plus; Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel; Hands-on Ceridian/Dayforce experience preferred, CPP certification a plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; Proven interpersonal and team skills; effectively communicates with and influences at all levels of the organization; Produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.

Business & Organization Knowledge: Quickly develops an understanding of the PerkinElmer business model.

Change Management: Exhibits a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; Tackles tough problems with firm deadlines; Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced result driven environment.

Ethics and Integrity: Business ethics and integrity beyond reproach are a must.
