As Manager, Strategic Analysis, you will play a critical role in supporting MN by providing high-quality analyses and clear recommendations to support the MN leadership teams in decision-making. This exceptional opportunity will provide you with a front-row seat to cutting-edge technology and allow you to contribute to global business strategy development, shaping the future of the telecom industry.

You will contribute to Mobile Networks' strategic agenda by identifying and evaluating complementary technologies and companies in the defense/critical communications sector. This analysis will support Nokia's 3GPP-based defense communications offering, paving the way for future collaborations.



  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and technologies within the defense/critical communications sector.
  • Focus on identifying companies and technology solutions that could complement and enrich Nokia's 3GPP-based defense communications offering.
  • Evaluate potential collaboration models with companies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, experts and key stakeholders
  • Develop compelling reports and presentations that clearly articulate findings and actionable recommendations to guide decision-making and present to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in or drive other analyses, strategy work, or other activities in support of Nokia's defense plans or in support of general strategy work.
  • Work in close cooperation with our Space&Defense business unit and other Nokia stakeholders like Nokia Growth Partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing.


  • This role requires a strong combination of information seeking, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, and clear communication, all fueled by a constant curiosity to learn and study products and technology solutions.
  • Industry knowledge: Experience in telecom industry especially 3GPP-based communications, market, and technology; secure communications; and defense industry (especially in military communication), basic understanding about venture capital funding for military technologies.
  • Strategic thinking: Understand the industry landscape, identify trends, and anticipate challenges.
  • Business acumen: Possess a strong understanding of business principles, financial models, and market dynamics.
  • Analytical skills: Analyze complex data from various sources, identify key issues, develop solutions, and present recommendations.
  • Communication skills: Communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences through clear and concise data visualizations.
  • Collaboration skills: Work effectively with cross-functional and international teams; manage multiple projects and delivering results on time.
  • Adaptability and resilience: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and remain resilient under pressure.
