PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Preservation Coordinator at Worley plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and longevity of assets within the energy, chemicals, and resources industries. This role ensures that critical equipment, materials, and infrastructure are protected throughout various project phases, aligning with Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change. By implementing best practices, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Preservation Manager supports the successful execution of projects while optimizing asset reliability and sustainability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and implement comprehensive preservation plans in collaboration with project teams, engineering disciplines, and client stakeholders to meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Define preservation requirements for equipment, materials, and systems based on project specifications, operational needs, and environmental conditions.
  • Establish and maintain preservation procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards across projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to track and manage preservation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with preservation requirements and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address preservation deficiencies, mitigate risks, and enhance asset longevity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors regarding preservation techniques, materials, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients and regulatory authorities to address preservation-related concerns, inquiries, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor preservation performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support Worley's sustainability goals by integrating preservation strategies that contribute to the extended lifecycle and efficiency of assets.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in preservation management, asset management, or a related field within the energy, chemicals, or resources industries.
  • Strong understanding of preservation principles, techniques, and methodologies, including coating, packaging, and storage requirements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction professionals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage preservation activities on complex projects while ensuring adherence to budget and schedule constraints.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to asset preservation, such as API RP 686 and ISO 12944.
  • Certification in asset management, corrosion protection, or related disciplines is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to various project locations as required.
