  • BSA Hospital is located in Amarillo's medical district just north of Interstate 40 and houses 445 licensed beds. This award-winning hospital has been serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo's preferred healthcare provider.

Responsibilities

  • Provision and documentation of examinations, evaluations, establish functional OT diagnosis, prognoses, and plans of care including formulation of treatment goals, providing occupational therapy intervention to patients, measuring and reporting outcomes and formulating and carrying out discharge plans.
  • Supervision of licensed and non-licensed assigned staff or students. Interact and practice in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Individuals must comply with the Texas Occupational Therapy Practice Acts and Rules.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

  • State licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and assistive technologies.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

  • Experience in acute care rehabilitation.

  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapy practices.
