Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will direct and coordinate activities of the Engineering Department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Location: Staunton, VA - Onsite

What you will do:



  • Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
  • Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts
  • Analyze technology trends and market demand to plan projects
  • Manage the timely revision of drawings and bills of material, as required
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
  • Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests
  • Advise management of new developments that may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
  • Provide direction and examples for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly
  • Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • HVAC industry experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800-$158,800 + 10% bonus in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
